VerseCompare

VerseCompare is a web + mobile app (AI + traditional) that lets users compare how major religions and philosophical traditions address the same theme—suffering, forgiveness, prayer, ethics, afterlife—using primary-source excerpts with careful context. Users pick a topic, then see parallel passages (e.g., Quran, Bible, Bhagavad Gita, Dhammapada, Analects) with short neutral annotations, historical setting, and links to reputable translations. An AI layer helps with semantic search (finding relevant passages beyond keyword matches) and generates “comparison briefs” that summarize similarities/differences while flagging uncertainty and contested interpretations. The app is not a debate arena: no public comment wars, no dunking, no ranking religions. Monetization is a subscription for advanced study tools (saved collections, citation export, classroom mode) and institutional licenses for educators. The hard part is trust: sourcing, neutrality, and editorial rigor are the product.
