VetCallout

VetCallout is a mobile + web app for zoo animal care teams to standardize and speed up after-hours and incident response. Keepers log a concern in under a minute using structured prompts (species, enclosure, vitals/behavior, photos/video, urgency). The system routes the case to the right on-call vet/manager via push/SMS with an escalation ladder and clear SLAs, then creates a timestamped timeline of actions taken. An AI assistant (optional) summarizes the report, flags missing critical details, and suggests next questions based on species-specific templates (not medical diagnosis). The app also tracks callouts, response times, and recurring issues by animal/enclosure to reduce repeat incidents. Realistically, this wins only if it’s dead-simple, works offline in back-of-house areas, and integrates with existing record systems rather than trying to replace them.
