VetShell

VetShell is a mobile + web app for turtle and tortoise owners to track husbandry in a way that’s clinically useful. It focuses on the stuff that causes most preventable problems: temperatures (basking and ambient), UVB bulb age and distance, humidity, diet composition, hydration/soaks, weight trends, stool/urates notes, and enclosure changes. Owners can attach photos, set reminders, and generate a “Vet Visit Packet” PDF that summarizes the last 30–90 days with charts and a plain-language timeline. The app includes a conservative, non-diagnostic “red flag” checklist (e.g., rapid weight loss, persistent closed eyes, soft shell) that prompts users to seek a reptile vet rather than offering risky advice. Realistically, this wins by being boring and reliable: a structured log that reduces guesswork and improves outcomes, not another generic pet journal.
