VetText is a mobile + web app that helps pig farms and their veterinarians triage common health issues quickly using structured symptom checklists, photo/video capture, and a farm-specific action playbook. Staff log a case in under two minutes (pen, age group, signs, temp, feed/water changes), attach photos, and the app suggests likely issue categories and next steps based on the farm’s vet-approved protocols (e.g., isolate, sample, supportive care, when to treat, when to escalate). It also creates a clean, time-stamped record for vet consults and compliance, reducing back-and-forth texts and missing details. This is not a “diagnose anything” miracle tool; it’s a workflow system that standardizes observation and speeds escalation. The goal is fewer delayed interventions, fewer unnecessary treatments, and better communication across shifts.
