VettingDesk

VettingDesk is a web app (with a lightweight mobile companion) that helps churches and religious nonprofits run consistent, documented vetting for clergy, staff, and volunteers. It centralizes application intake, reference collection, credential verification, background-check ordering, and policy-based approval workflows in one place. The product is intentionally unglamorous: it focuses on reducing preventable hiring mistakes, closing documentation gaps, and producing an audit-ready record when allegations arise. It includes templated screening policies (editable), role-based checklists (e.g., youth ministry, counseling, finance), and secure storage of sensitive documents with retention rules. It’s a combination traditional + AI app: AI is used only to summarize references, flag missing steps, and detect risky inconsistencies—never to “approve” someone. This is not a sermon tool; it’s risk control and governance for religious leadership teams.
