VibeRecs is a mobile + web AI recommendation app that matches what to watch based on your current “taste state,” not your historical binge data. You answer a 30-second check-in (energy level, emotional tone, attention span, tolerance for violence/awkwardness, and pacing). The app then generates a short, ranked list across Netflix/Prime/Hulu/Disney+/Max, with clear reasons like “slow-burn, low-stress, witty dialogue, 90–110 minutes.” It learns from quick feedback (thumbs up/down + one-tap reasons) and can create “taste profiles” for different contexts: solo weeknight, date night, friends, background viewing. It also supports group matching by merging multiple people’s check-ins and highlighting tradeoffs. Realistically, this won’t beat incumbents on catalog depth; it wins by being faster, more transparent, and more context-aware than generic recommender rows.
