VINTruth is a mobile + web AI-assisted used-car due diligence app that turns a VIN and listing link into a buyer-ready risk report. It aggregates vehicle history signals (title/odometer events, lien hints, theft checks where available), open recalls, common failure points by make/model/year, and local market pricing comps. The app guides buyers through a seller verification checklist (ID match, ownership proof, service records) and generates a mechanic inspection checklist tailored to that exact vehicle. For higher confidence, it offers an optional “remote pre-check” where the seller records guided videos (cold start, underbody pans, dash warnings, OBD screenshot) and the AI flags inconsistencies and red flags. This won’t magically guarantee a good car—bad sellers can still lie—but it dramatically reduces naive mistakes and helps buyers walk away faster when the deal smells wrong.
