VlanGuard

VlanGuard is a web app (with an optional lightweight desktop collector) that continuously audits VLAN configuration across multi-vendor networks and flags the misconfigs that actually cause outages: native VLAN mismatches, allowed VLAN drift, trunk/access mode errors, orphaned VLANs, and inconsistent STP/VTP settings. It connects read-only via SSH/API, normalizes configs into a vendor-agnostic model, and produces a prioritized risk report with exact device/port context. For changes, it generates a “safe plan” that includes pre-checks, commands per vendor, and a rollback snippet, plus a human-readable change ticket summary. This is a combination traditional + AI app: traditional parsing/validation for correctness, AI only for summarizing findings and drafting change tickets/runbooks. Brutal truth: you won’t beat incumbents on full-blown network management; you win by being the fastest, safest VLAN-specific auditor that’s easy to deploy and doesn’t require an enterprise contract.
