VlanLint

VlanLint is a web + desktop CLI tool that validates VLAN configurations across multi-vendor networks (Cisco, Aruba, Juniper, etc.) before changes are pushed. You ingest configs via Git repo, SSH pull, or exported files, and the app runs a rules engine to flag common outage-causing issues: mismatched trunk allowed lists, native VLAN inconsistencies, orphaned VLANs, duplicate VLAN IDs with different names, missing VLANs on downstream trunks, and STP/VTP-related misalignments. It produces a human-readable report plus a machine-readable SARIF/JSON output for CI pipelines. This is not a “magic automation” product; it’s a pre-flight safety net that reduces change failure rate and speeds up reviews. It’s realistic because it doesn’t require full network control-plane integration—just config access—and it fits existing workflows (GitOps, change tickets, peer review).
