VocalMirror

VocalMirror is a mobile + desktop AI-assisted cover recorder that focuses on the unglamorous problem: most karaoke/covers sound bad because of poor gain staging, room noise, pitch drift, and uneven loudness. Users pick a licensed backing track (or import their own), record vocals, and the app automatically applies a consistent vocal chain (noise reduction, de-essing, compression, EQ, loudness matching) tuned to the song style. It also provides a “take coach” that flags clipping, off-axis mic placement, and timing drift in plain language. The goal isn’t to replace talent; it’s to make an average singer’s recording presentable for social sharing without needing a DAW. Monetization is subscription for advanced processing presets, export formats, and a small library of cleared instrumentals. Realistically, licensing and content costs are the biggest constraint, so the MVP should start with user-imported tracks and a limited cleared catalog.
