VoidScout
VoidScout is a web + desktop app that helps composites shops quantify voids/porosity from CT scans and ultrasonic C-scan images without needing a full-time NDT data scientist. Users upload DICOM stacks or common scan exports, run guided calibration (material density, voxel size, threshold hints), and get a repeatable porosity report: void volume fraction, size distribution, clustering, and heatmaps by ply/region. It also generates a simple pass/fail summary aligned to user-defined acceptance criteria and exports a PDF plus CSV for QA records. This is a combination traditional + AI app: traditional measurement pipelines with AI-assisted segmentation to reduce manual threshold tweaking and operator variability. It’s realistic because many teams already have scan data but lack consistent analysis workflows; the app focuses on analysis/reporting rather than trying to replace the scanner or certify parts automatically.
