VoidShield is a web + mobile app that plugs into existing POS systems to detect suspicious voids, refunds, and manual discounts as they happen. It focuses on a painfully common retail leak: “friendly fraud” and employee misuse that hides in plain sight because managers are busy and reports are reviewed too late. The app watches transaction events, compares them to store norms (by cashier, lane, time, basket mix), and triggers lightweight approvals or instant alerts when patterns look off. It also produces a simple weekly “loss-leak” report that translates POS noise into dollars at risk, with drill-down to receipts and camera timestamps if available. This is not a full POS replacement—because that’s a brutal market—but a targeted layer that retailers can trial quickly in a few stores and expand if it pays for itself.
