WageReceipt is a mobile + web app that lets food-supply-chain workers privately log shifts, hours, pay, deductions, and safety incidents, then generate tamper-evident “receipts” they can share with auditors, brands, or NGOs. The product focuses on practical evidence, not vague ratings: photo capture of payslips, offline-first shift journaling, and optional employer roster imports when available. An AI layer helps normalize messy documents (different languages, formats), flags likely wage theft patterns (missing overtime, illegal deductions), and produces audit-ready summaries without exposing individual identities. For brands and certifiers, the web dashboard shows aggregated, anonymized indicators by site and time period, plus a “confidence score” based on sample size and verification signals. Realistically, adoption is hard; the app must earn trust by minimizing risk, requiring minimal data, and working on low-end phones with spotty connectivity.
