WageShield

WageShield is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that helps small and mid-sized employers detect common wage-and-hour compliance issues early—before an employee complaint, audit, or class action. It ingests timeclock exports and payroll summaries, then flags risk patterns like missed meal/rest breaks, off-the-clock work indicators, rounding bias, overtime miscalculation, and inconsistent pay rates across job codes. The app generates an evidence-ready “compliance packet” with annotated findings, recommended fixes, and a simple remediation workflow (policy updates, manager coaching tasks, and employee acknowledgments). This is a combination traditional + AI app: rules-based checks for deterministic issues, plus AI to summarize risks, draft corrective communications, and explain state-specific nuances in plain English (with citations). It is not a replacement for legal counsel; it’s a practical early-warning system for operators who are currently flying blind.
