WaitlistMap is a mobile + web app that gives public-housing applicants and housing authorities a clearer, auditable view of waitlist progress and next steps. Applicants can verify their profile completeness, upload required documents, receive deadline reminders, and see an estimated position range (not a false promise) based on historical turnover and eligibility filters. Housing staff get a dashboard to request missing items, send bulk notices, track contact attempts, and log decisions with reason codes to reduce disputes. The app focuses on reducing “lost in the system” outcomes: missed mail, expired documents, and unreachable applicants that force restarts. It’s not magic—estimates will be imperfect—but it replaces opaque letters and phone-tag with a transparent, documented workflow. Built-in multilingual support and SMS-first communication make it usable for applicants without reliable email or laptops.
