WaitRoomNow is a web + mobile patient-portal add-on that shows accurate, real-time wait status for appointments and walk-ins, reducing the most common portal complaint: “I have no idea what’s happening.” Patients see check-in confirmation, queue position bands (e.g., “~15–30 min”), delays with reasons (running late, emergency add-on), and proactive options to reschedule, switch to telehealth, or arrive later. Staff get a lightweight dashboard to update status in one tap, with automatic estimates based on schedule drift and rooming timestamps. The product integrates with major EHR scheduling/ADT feeds (where available) and gracefully falls back to manual updates for smaller practices. It also pushes SMS/app notifications so patients aren’t trapped in waiting rooms. This is not glamorous, but it directly reduces angry calls, front-desk overload, and no-shows caused by uncertainty.
