WaitWatch

WaitWatch is a mobile + web app that helps patients document and escalate harmful healthcare delays (e.g., ER waiting, referral bottlenecks, denied appointments) without needing legal expertise. Users log a timeline with timestamps, location, symptoms, and what they were told; the app auto-generates a concise “care delay dossier” they can share with hospital patient relations, insurers, ombuds offices, or NGOs. It also provides jurisdiction-specific escalation paths and templates (complaints, appeal letters, records requests). Aggregated, anonymized data can reveal systemic delay hotspots for advocacy groups and journalists. This is not a magic fix: many institutions ignore complaints, and outcomes vary by country. The realistic value is reducing the effort to create credible documentation and pushing cases to the right channel faster, while building evidence for broader accountability.
