WardrobeReceipt is a mobile + web app that automatically builds a “proof-of-purchase” vault for fashion items so users can resell, warranty-claim, insure, or return items without digging through email or paper receipts. Users forward emails, connect Gmail/Outlook, and optionally link Apple Wallet/Google Wallet transactions; the app extracts merchant, item, price, date, and return window, then creates a clean item card with a timeline (purchase date, last return day, warranty end, care instructions). For in-store buys, users scan a receipt or import a bank transaction and match it to a photo of the item. The app also supports resale-ready bundles: it generates a shareable packet with receipt, item photos, and authenticity-relevant metadata (store, date, SKU when available). This is not glamorous: the hard part is messy data and edge cases, so the MVP should focus on the top 30 retailers and email formats, then expand. Monetization is straightforward: free tier for limited items; paid tier for unlimited vault, resale packets, and priority retailer parsing.
