WasteLedger is a mobile + web app for small food businesses to log, categorize, and reduce food waste with minimal friction. Staff can record waste in under 10 seconds using quick buttons (prep trim, overproduction, spoilage, plate waste) and optional photo capture. The app turns entries into simple weekly reports: top waste items, likely root causes, and “next shift” actions (adjust prep batch sizes, change par levels, rotate stock, tweak menu portions). It also generates exportable audit-ready summaries for sustainability reporting and local compliance programs. This is not a magic scanner that guesses everything—teams still need to log consistently—but it makes logging realistic and ties it directly to cost savings. The business model is a low monthly subscription per location, with optional add-ons for multi-site analytics.
