WaterWatchr
WaterWatchr is a mobile + web app that helps households and property managers understand tap-water quality at the address level, not vague citywide reports. Users enter an address, select their water source (municipal or well), and get a clear risk summary for common contaminants (lead service lines, PFAS advisories, nitrate risk, boil notices) based on public datasets and utility disclosures. The app also guides users through low-cost verification: which certified lab test to order, how to collect a sample correctly, and how to interpret results. For rentals and multi-unit buildings, it generates a simple “Water Transparency Sheet” to share with tenants, including testing dates and mitigation steps (filters, flushing protocols). It’s realistic: data will be incomplete in many areas, so the app is explicit about confidence levels and pushes users toward testing when uncertainty is high.
