WattForecast
WattForecast helps households and small businesses time flexible electricity use (EV charging, water heating, laundry, HVAC pre-cooling) to hours when the grid is cleaner and often cheaper. It combines day-ahead renewable generation forecasts, local weather, and your utility’s rate plan to produce simple “best hours” recommendations and automated schedules. Users connect their utility (where available), enter major loads, and optionally link smart plugs/chargers/thermostats. The app then shows a 24–72 hour timeline with a Clean Power Score, expected cost, and confidence level. It also sends alerts when forecasts shift (clouds, wind drop, heat waves) so schedules adjust. This is not magic: forecasts can be wrong and device integrations can be messy, but for many users even modest shifting (1–3 kWh/day) adds up to meaningful savings and emissions reductions.
