WattPledge is a web + mobile app that helps community energy groups pre-sell participation before they build anything. Instead of vague “interest lists,” it creates legally meaningful pledges: how much a household will invest or subscribe, preferred project type (solar co-op, heat pumps, battery), and acceptable payback/price caps. The app packages this into lender- and installer-ready demand evidence: verified addresses, credit-band self-attestation, and a standardized project brief. It also tracks outreach progress, meeting notes, and converts pledges into signed subscriptions once a project is viable. This is not a marketplace for random solar quotes; it’s a lightweight pipeline tool for community organizers to prove demand, unlock financing, and reduce project cancellation rates. The product lives or dies on trust, transparency, and simple workflows—no flashy dashboards.
