WattReceipt

WattReceipt helps people stop guessing which appliances are draining their budget. You scan an appliance’s energy label (or enter model number), set your local electricity rate, and the app estimates annual cost, CO2 impact, and payback time for upgrades. It also builds a simple “home appliance ledger” so you can compare your fridge vs. dehumidifier vs. space heater in one place. The app focuses on realistic decisions: whether to replace, repair, or change usage habits, and what the savings actually look like after rebates and seasonal usage. It’s not a smart-home controller and won’t magically read every device automatically—most users will do a quick scan once and update occasionally. The value is clarity: a plain-English receipt for energy use that’s easy to share with roommates or family when deciding what to buy next.
