WattReceipt

WattReceipt is a mobile + web app that reads your utility bills (electricity/gas) and turns them into a simple “what changed and why” report. Most people never know if a higher bill came from rate hikes, usage spikes, weather, or a single appliance trend—and that confusion kills action. Users upload PDFs or connect their utility account; the app normalizes tariffs, separates supply vs delivery, and estimates weather-normalized usage so you can compare months fairly. It then generates a short action list ranked by savings likelihood (e.g., thermostat schedule, water heater settings, peak-hour shifts) and tracks whether changes actually reduced kWh/therms and cost. It’s an AI + traditional app: AI extracts and explains bill details; traditional logic handles tariff math and tracking. It’s realistic because it doesn’t promise smart-home magic—just clarity, accountability, and measurable savings.
