WattWager

WattWager is a mobile + web app that turns household energy reduction into short, measurable “wagers” you can actually stick to. Users connect their utility account (where available) or upload monthly bills, then set a 2–4 week challenge like “reduce kWh by 8% vs last period.” You put a small stake ($5–$50). If you hit the target, you get your stake back plus a reward funded by brand partners or your employer’s sustainability budget; if you miss, the stake goes to a verified local energy-assistance charity (or your chosen cause). The app focuses on behavioral savings: HVAC setpoint nudges, peak-time avoidance, laundry/dishwasher timing, and standby power checklists. It’s intentionally not a smart-home dashboard—most people won’t install hardware. It uses lightweight AI to personalize the easiest actions that move the needle for your specific home and climate.
