WaxLedger

WaxLedger is a mobile app (with a lightweight web dashboard) that helps surfers track board, fin, leash, and wetsuit usage and condition so they replace or repair before failures ruin sessions. Users log sessions quickly (spot, duration, board used), then the app estimates wear based on saltwater exposure, UV, travel, and time-in-water. It prompts simple checklists (rail dings, fin box play, leash cord fray, wetsuit seam leaks) and schedules reminders for repairs, re-waxing, and gear rotation. Optional AI photo checks flag obvious issues like delamination bubbles, cracked fins, and rail cracks, but it’s not marketed as “magic”—it’s a triage tool that reduces missed damage. The business model is freemium with paid “quiver management” for multiple boards plus partner discounts from local ding repair shops and surf retailers. This is not a wave-forecast app; it’s a reliability and cost-control tool.
