WayPointIQ

WayPointIQ is a mobile app (iOS/Android) plus a lightweight web dashboard for building operators that provides reliable indoor turn-by-turn navigation without expensive hardware installs. It uses a hybrid approach: phone sensors (IMU), BLE beacons where available, and QR/NFC “checkpoints” placed at key junctions (elevators, stairwells, corridor splits) to reset drift. Users scan a checkpoint once, then follow clear step-by-step directions to rooms, desks, clinics, gates, or equipment. The operator dashboard lets staff upload floor plans, define accessible routes, and set temporary closures (construction, blocked hallways). An AI component auto-suggests paths and detects map issues from anonymous movement traces, but the core navigation remains deterministic so it doesn’t hallucinate routes. Realistically, accuracy will vary by building; the product wins by being deployable fast and staying “good enough” with frequent re-calibration points.
