WearRecap

WearRecap is a mobile + web app that helps shoppers compare wearables using real-world, task-based testing instead of marketing specs. It guides you through a short questionnaire (phone type, skin tone, wrist size, workout types, sleep goals, budget, privacy tolerance) and outputs a ranked shortlist with clear tradeoffs: battery vs. accuracy, iOS/Android feature locks, subscription traps, repairability, and return risk. It also aggregates credible third-party test data (battery, GPS drift, HR accuracy, sleep staging reliability) and flags where evidence is weak or vendor-claimed. A “Store Mode” lets you scan a box barcode in-store to see compatibility warnings, hidden subscription costs, and common buyer regrets. Monetization is affiliate links plus a paid tier for deeper comparisons and price-drop alerts. This is realistic because it doesn’t require medical claims—just better shopping decisions.
