WeedWarden
WeedWarden is a mobile + web app for invasive-plant crews and land managers who need defensible, repeatable documentation of treatment outcomes. Instead of focusing on “identify this plant,” it focuses on what agencies actually pay for: mapped treatment polygons, before/after photo stations, and measurable follow-up. In the field, crews create a site, draw treatment areas offline, log method (cut, spray, pull), chemical and concentration, weather, and effort hours. The app schedules required revisits and guides users back to the exact photo station using GPS + compass cues. On the web dashboard, managers see compliance-ready reports, progress over time, and a simple “treatment to outcome” scorecard by site and contractor. Reality check: adoption hinges on saving time versus spreadsheets and proving results for grants, audits, and contractor performance—this app is built around that paperwork pain.
