WelfareProof

WelfareProof is a mobile + web app that lets shoppers and food buyers verify animal-welfare claims with evidence, not marketing. Users scan a barcode or search a brand and get a simple welfare score backed by auditable sources: certification scope, audit frequency, noncompliance history (when available), farm-level transparency, and supply-chain traceability signals. It flags vague labels (“farm fresh,” “humanely raised”) and explains what they legally mean in your country (often: nothing). For brands that opt in, WelfareProof supports secure document upload and third-party audit integrations, then publishes a public “proof page” that customers can share. This is not a feel-good app: many products will score poorly or be “insufficient evidence,” and that’s the point. Revenue comes from B2B verification pages, retailer dashboards, and API access; consumers get core scanning free.
