WiFiWitness

WiFiWitness is a desktop + mobile companion app that captures, timestamps, and packages network evidence when connectivity goes wrong. It runs lightweight background checks (DNS resolution, gateway reachability, packet loss, jitter, captive portal detection) and can trigger deeper captures on-demand, then generates a clean “incident bundle” you can send to an ISP, MSP, venue IT, or internal network team. The goal isn’t to replace enterprise monitoring; it’s to give small teams and power users a credible, repeatable way to document outages and performance drops without being a networking expert. An AI assistant summarizes the incident in plain English, highlights likely fault domains (LAN vs ISP vs DNS), and suggests the next 3 tests to run. Expect some environments to block deep packet capture; the app focuses on what’s realistically collectible from endpoints.
