WildWelfare
WildWelfare is a mobile + web app that helps people report injured, orphaned, or trapped mammals and quickly get them to the right local help. Users snap a photo, answer a few guided questions (location, behavior, visible injuries), and the app suggests the most likely scenario and the safest next steps (e.g., keep distance, contain only if advised). It then routes the report to nearby licensed wildlife rehabilitators, animal control, park rangers, or vetted rescue groups based on jurisdiction and species. The app tracks response status, provides legal/ethical guidance, and stores incident history for agencies. This is an AI + traditional app: AI helps triage and classify the situation, but humans make final decisions. Realistically, success depends on building a reliable network of responders; without that, it’s just another “report an animal” form.
