WindGate is a mobile + web app for paragliders and skydivers that turns messy weather data into a simple “go / no-go / maybe later” decision for specific launch sites and drop zones. It pulls high-resolution forecasts, wind profiles, gust spread, thermal indicators, and cloud base estimates, then scores conditions against user-defined limits (wing class, experience level, canopy size, DZ rules). The AI layer summarizes risk drivers in plain language (e.g., “gust spread exceeds your max by 6 mph between 1–3pm; safer window 5–7pm”) and tracks your personal thresholds over time based on logged flights and outcomes. Realistically, this won’t replace instructor judgment or official briefings; it’s a planning tool to reduce wasted trips and bad calls. Monetization is subscription with a free tier for basic sites and limited forecast horizons.
