WithholdIQ is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that continuously audits payroll tax withholdings and filings for small and mid-sized employers. It connects to payroll providers (e.g., Gusto, ADP, Paychex) and accounting systems to detect common, expensive errors: wrong state/local withholding setup, misclassified employees vs contractors, missed new-hire reporting, late deposit schedules, and mismatched W-2/941 totals. The product doesn’t pretend to replace a CPA; it flags issues early, explains the likely cause in plain language, and generates a checklist of corrective steps and draft notices. An AI layer helps interpret payroll reports, map jurisdiction rules, and summarize discrepancies, but the app is primarily rules- and reconciliation-driven to stay reliable. The goal is fewer surprise letters, fewer amended filings, and fewer hours of cleanup at year-end.
