WordSprout

WordSprout is a mobile app (iOS/Android) that helps ages 2–5 build vocabulary and early sentence skills through ultra-short, parent-guided “talk prompts” and playful listening games. Instead of long lessons, it delivers 3–5 minute routines tied to everyday moments (breakfast, bath, car rides). The app suggests simple phrases, questions, and expansions (“Yes, a big red ball!”) and tracks which words a child seems to understand and attempt. An optional AI mode lets parents record a few seconds of the child speaking; the app estimates likely target sounds/words (not a clinical diagnosis) and recommends next activities. It also includes printable mini-cards for offline use and a “low-stimulation” interface to avoid turning language practice into screen addiction. It’s designed to complement, not replace, real conversation and play.
