WorldPatch

WorldPatch is a web + desktop app for writers and tabletop GMs who keep rewriting their setting and then forget what changed. It treats a fictional world like a software project: every edit is a “patch” with notes, diffs, and a timeline you can roll back. You can link patches to places, factions, characters, and rules, then instantly see what a change impacts (e.g., renaming a city updates connected maps, sessions, and references). It includes lightweight AI assistance to summarize patch notes, detect contradictions between versions, and propose migration steps (“If the empire fell in v1.4, update these 6 chapters and 2 NPC bios”). This is not a full-blown writing suite; it’s a change-management layer that sits beside Scrivener/Google Docs/Notion and exports clean reference packs for players or beta readers.
