YarnBatch is a mobile + web app for knitters, crocheters, and small-batch dyers who constantly lose track of dye lots, skein weights, and project allocations. Users scan a label (or type quickly) to log brand, colorway, dye lot, grams, fiber content, and purchase source, then assign skeins to a project “reservation” so you don’t accidentally use the wrong lot mid-sweater. It generates a simple “what can I finish?” view based on yardage/grams remaining and your pattern requirements, and it flags risk when a project mixes lots or when you’re short. This is not glamorous; it’s inventory discipline for a hobby that gets expensive fast. The value is preventing costly mistakes, duplicate purchases, and abandoned projects due to missing materials.
