ZoneBeacon

ZoneBeacon is a web app (with optional Slack/Teams add-on) that turns a distributed team’s workday into a lightweight “virtual office presence” map without forcing constant meetings. It pulls from calendars, time zones, and user-set focus modes to show: who’s online, who’s in deep work, who’s open for quick questions, and the best overlap windows for real-time collaboration. Instead of yet another chat tool, it sits on top of what teams already use and reduces the back-and-forth of “are you free?” It also offers team-level “quiet hours” policies, nudges to avoid after-hours pings, and a one-click way to propose a 10-minute huddle during overlap. This is not a metaverse office; it’s pragmatic presence and scheduling clarity for remote-first teams that hate status theater.
